Gurman: New M4 Macs and iPad mini 7 to launch on November 1

In this weekend’s Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has unveiled the potential release date of Apple’s anticipated late fall hardware releases. The keynote will still be in late October, but the products will potentially launch on November 1st.

The products being launched include the low end 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4, the higher end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros with M4 Pro and M4 Max, the new iMac with M4, the new redesigned Mac mini with M4 and M4 Pro, as well as a new iPad mini.

Interestingly, Gurman is no longer mentioning the lowest end iPad, so it seems that an iPad 11 refresh in 2024 is no longer on the table. This makes sense given the fact that other analysts have indicated that this product wouldn’t launch until early next year.

Gurman also says to expect the following products in the first half of 2025:

  • M4 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Airs
  • New iPhone SE
  • New 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Airs
  • New Magic Keyboards for iPad Air
  • Refreshed AirTag

The analyst also says that new Mac Studio and Mac Pros are in development with M4, but they’ll ship later. Mac Studio is likely for mid year, whereas Mac Pro is likely for the end of the year.

This aligns with prior expectations. And then of course, the cycle will start over again with iPhone 17 and M5 Macs in the fall.
